    Cutter submersible pumps (0.9 to 4 kW) for pumping sewage containing faecal matter and water containing sludge. The SEG cutter pumps from Grundfos are non-self-priming, single-stage submersible pumps with a horizontal discharge nozzle specially designed for draining wastewater containing faecal matter. The pump is equipped with a blockage-proof, hardened cutter that shreds the solids carried in the sewage and is thus suitable for pressure drainage via pipes with a relatively small cross-section. The cutter pumps of the SEG type are ideally suited for use in sparsely populated areas where there are no gravity systems. Examples include villages, farms and areas with large differences in altitude where a pressure system is advantageous. The pump is made of extremely durable and resistant materials, such as grey cast iron or stainless steel. These materials ensure reliable operation. Smooth surfaces prevent dirt and contamination from adhering. The corrosion-resistant stainless steel clamping band secures the motor to the pump housing and allows easy maintenance of the pump. The SmartTrim system allows for easily adjustable hydraulics to ensure maximum efficiency over the life of the pump. The SEG AUTOADAPT version is already equipped with a control system, sensors and motor protection. It only needs to be connected to the mains supply. AUTOADAPT eliminates the need for external sensors, switches and cables in the sump and combines all sensors in one pump that automatically adapts to the dynamic conditions in the sump. This simplifies installation, commissioning and operation and increases reliability.
