IWAKI MXM magnetic drive centrifugal pumps
Safe and trouble-free operation with MXM process pumps
IWAKI MXM magnetic drive centrifugal pumps for increased safety and long life
In the IWAKI MXM series of magnetic centrifugal pumps great importance was attached to resistance against aggressive chemicals and increased safety with a long service life of the pump. As wetted parts carbon fibre reinforced ETFE and pure ceramics are used. For difficult applications and operating conditions, the Iwaki MXM process pumps have been equipped with the proven contact-free system and Iwaki's patent-pending self-cooling design. For applications with high demands, components made of nodular cast iron are used. A pump that not only meets their requirements, but is built to exceed them. A unique shape and a double-bearing FRP casing cover have further improved the pressure limit of the H models.
For these pumps, legal export restrictions apply for safety reasons.

MXM process pumps with
Self-cooling construction (patent pending)
(patented) The heat outlet openings, in the transition from the impeller to the magnet capsule, ensure a forced circulation of the medium around the bearing and shaft. This effectively reduces the heat generated by friction and prevents thermal deformation and fusion.
Contactless system
In contrast to conventional magnetic drive pumps, the MXM series has a special design to avoid contact between the bearing and the rear thrust ring, even in the case of dry running and air pockets on the suction side. The usual damage caused by heat generation is thus reduced to a minimum.
Exceptional chemical resistance
Only materials with the best chemical resistance, such as carbon fibre reinforced ETFE and pure ceramics, are used as wetted materials. For use in extreme applications of chemical processes, the pumps have an outer housing made of spheroidal graphite cast iron.
Exceptional chemical resistance with CFRETFE and pure ceramic
Materials with best chemical resistance such as carbon fibre reinforced ETFE (CFRETFE) and pure ceramics are used as wetted materials. A wide selection of different impeller sizes and motor ratings guarantees an optimum adaptation to the required flow rates.
Rugged construction
For use in extreme applications of chemical processes, the pumps have an outer housing made of spheroidal graphite cast iron. In addition, our improved design (patent pending) ensures optimum sealing performance between the front and rear housings for increased reliability.
MXM magnetic drive centrifugal pumps with increased safety
The MXM magnetic drive centrifugal pumps offer a unique shape of the rear casing, which avoids concentrated material stress. This increases both the pressure limit and the mechanical strength of the shaft support. A double-layer embedded FRP rear casing cover further improves the pressure limit on the H models. In the event of unexpected damage to the rear housing, this also increases safety in the event of leakage.
