Drinking water separation stations prevent the medium from flowing back from service water lines connected behind it into the drinking water line and are used in fire extinguishing systems, sprinkler systems, laboratory water systems and in agriculture. The line, as well as the associated pressure boosting system for fire extinguishing purposes, is generally filled with water.
