Properties:
The SMD submersible agitators are made entirely of stainless steel. The efficiency-optimised propeller is driven directly by the motor. |
The squirrel-cage induction motor (efficiency class IE3) is protected against overload with the help of three bimetallic thermal switches (PTO) built into the windings. Optionally, the submersible agitators can also be equipped with three thermistors (PTC sensors). |
To prevent the surrounding liquid from penetrating, the SMD submersible agitators have a multi-stage sealing system consisting of lip seals as a pre-seal, which press against the wear ring, and a double mechanical seal in cartridge design. The sealing surfaces of the externally arranged mechanical seal are made of silicon carbide/silicon carbide and the sealing surfaces of the internally arranged mechanical seal are made of synthetic carbon/ceramic. |
SMD submersible agitators from 1.9 kW are equipped with a humidity switch as standard. For submersible agitators up to 1.8 kW, a humidity switch can be installed as an option. |
In SMD submersible agitators from 1.9 kW, the oil-filled seal housing can be monitored for water ingress with the aid of an optional leakage sensor. If moisture enters, the sensor emits an alarm signal and/or switches off the motor. For this purpose, the sensor must be connected to the Grundfos relay ALR-20/A. |
The stainless steel shaft is supported by two permanently lubricated ball bearings. |
